Graduate Trainee – Regulatory Affairs

About the role

The FutureX Graduate Trainee Programme is a 12‑month accelerated development journey for ambitious Emirati graduates. As a Graduate Trainee in the Regulatory Affairs team, you will support du’s compliance with telecom regulatory requirements and interact with the Telecommunications Digital Government and Regulatory Authority (TDRA).

Key responsibilities

• Support and manage stakeholder interfaces to track and streamline business inputs related to telecom regulatory frameworks, including TDRA requests.
• Assist with daily management of du’s requirements for scarce resources and compliance with policies such as Internet access, mobile and fixed number portability, numbering management, and national crisis projects.
• Monitor international regulatory developments, prepare submissions and policy positions, and support the development of planning processes to meet regulatory obligations.
• Liaise with Technology, Finance, Commercial and other divisions to prepare documentation, submissions and correspondence for regulatory matters.
• Represent Regulatory Affairs in meetings with TDRA, Etisalat and other licensed operators, influencing regulatory outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems, Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Telecom Engineering, IT/Computer Science, International Relations or similar fields.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with strong attention to detail and result orientation.
• Flexibility to travel on short notice to meetings in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
