GRE QC Inspector

About the role

The GRE QC Inspector will support the Mechanical QC Engineer in implementing quality control procedures for mechanical works on EPC projects. The role involves reviewing specifications, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with GRE piping standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review project technical specifications, drawings, and BOQ to identify quality and inspection requirements for mechanical works.
• Participate in site receiving inspections of mechanical materials and equipment to verify compliance with project specifications.
• Perform fit‑up inspections and final dimensional verification prior to installation and welding activities.
• Prepare, file, maintain, and retrieve inspection reports, test records, and quality documentation.
• Witness and review work performed by third‑party testing, inspection, and NDT companies, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
• Attend and support client inspections and testing activities within the assigned area of responsibility.
• Identify incomplete work or defective materials, raise punch‑list items, and follow up until closure.
• Assist construction personnel in identifying quality issues, non‑conformances, and potential problems related to mechanical works.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in GRE piping inspection on Oil & Gas/EPC projects.
• Knowledge of GRE installation procedures and inspection requirements.
• Proven ability to report and escalate non‑conforming work to QC management.
