Grinder – Machine Operator

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Grinder to join our manufacturing team at ASSA ABLOY Group in the United Arab Emirates. The role involves operating various grinding machines to produce high‑quality components while adhering to safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate and monitor surface, cylindrical and centerless grinding machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and work orders to ensure correct dimensions.
• Select and install appropriate grinding wheels, abrasives and dressing tools.
• Maintain machine performance, perform routine checks and report any issues.
• Handle heavy workpieces safely and stand for extended periods as required.

Required profile

• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and follow strict safety procedures.
• Good hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Willingness to work with hazardous materials when necessary.

Required skills

• Operating surface, cylindrical and centerless grinding machines.
• Reading blueprints, technical drawings and work orders.
• Knowledge of grinding wheel types, abrasives and dressing techniques.
• Understanding of workplace safety standards and proper PPE usage.
• Experience handling hazardous materials or environments.
