Grinder – Manufacturing Operator

About the role
The company is seeking a Grinder to operate various grinding machines in a manufacturing environment. The role involves handling surface, cylindrical and centerless grinders while adhering to safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Operate grinding machines (surface, cylindrical, centerless, etc.)
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and work orders
- Select and apply appropriate grinding wheels, abrasives and dressing techniques
- Stand for long periods and handle heavy materials safely
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with workplace safety standards
- Handle hazardous materials or environments when required
Required profile
- At least 1 month of relevant experience
- Ability to stand for extended periods and manage heavy loads
- Good hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Awareness of workplace safety standards
Required skills
- Operating grinding machines
- Reading blueprints, technical drawings and work orders
- Knowledge of grinding wheel types, abrasives and dressing techniques
- PPE usage
- Handling hazardous materials
- Understanding of workplace safety standards
