Grinding Machine Operator

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Grinding Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Dubai. The successful candidate will operate various grinding equipment, ensure precision on metal components, and uphold safety standards in a fast‑paced production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate and monitor surface, cylindrical and centerless grinding machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and work orders to determine machining requirements.
• Select appropriate grinding wheels, abrasives and apply dressing techniques to achieve required surface finishes.
• Maintain machine performance, perform routine checks and report any issues.
• Handle heavy workpieces safely and stand for extended periods during production runs.

Required profile

• Ability to work on the shop floor for long periods and lift heavy materials.
• Good hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Understanding of workplace safety standards and proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Experience working with hazardous materials or in environments requiring strict safety controls.

Required skills

• Operating surface, cylindrical and centerless grinding machines.
• Blueprint and technical drawing interpretation.
• Grinding wheel selection and dressing techniques.
• Safety compliance and PPE usage.
• Handling of hazardous materials.
