Group Financial Controller

About the role

Ayatco International is hiring a hands-on Group Financial Controller to oversee accounting, financial reporting and financial control across its companies in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Based in Dubai and reporting directly to the Group CEO, the role takes ownership of the group's accounting function, ensures accurate financial reporting, monitors business performance and strengthens financial controls. It suits an experienced finance professional with strong GCC accounting knowledge who can independently manage multi-country financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounting operations and monthly financial reporting across the group's three companies
• Monitor cash flow, customer receivables, supplier payables and operating expenses
• Prepare monthly profit and loss reports and financial statements
• Manage year-end financial closing and coordinate annual audits with external auditors
• Ensure timely completion and approval of audited financial statements
• Maintain accurate accounting records and comply with local requirements
• Coordinate with external accountants and tax advisors
• Review and improve accounting procedures, financial controls and reporting processes

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of finance and accounting experience within the GCC
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• Master's degree in Accounting & Finance or ACCA, CPA or CMA qualification is an advantage
• Practical accounting experience in the UAE and Saudi Arabia; Qatar experience is an advantage
• Experience in trading, contracting or engineering companies is preferred
• Currently based in Dubai and available for occasional short business trips to Saudi Arabia and Qatar

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and local tax requirements
• ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel
• Excellent English communication skills
