Guest Service Agent – Front Desk

About the role

We are seeking a Guest Service Agent to join the front‑desk team at Mercure Abu Dhabi Downtown. As the first point of contact, you will ensure every guest enjoys a warm, personalized and seamless experience from arrival to departure.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and check‑in guests, delivering a smooth and personalized arrival experience.
• Handle guest inquiries, requests and concierge duties promptly and efficiently.
• Process check‑outs, manage billing and ensure accurate financial transactions.
• Provide information on hotel amenities, local attractions and services.
• Coordinate with other departments to guarantee seamless guest experiences.
• Maintain a clean and organized front‑desk area and comply with hotel policies and safety procedures.
• Participate in training sessions and team meetings to continuously improve service quality.

Required profile

• Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
• Professional appearance, friendly demeanor and high personal presentation standards.
• Detail‑oriented, able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Collaborative team player with a positive attitude and creative problem‑solving abilities.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality‑related degree or driver’s licence is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hotel management software, preferably Opera or similar POS systems.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
