Guest Service Agent - Front Desk

About the role

Accor is looking for a friendly and professional Guest Service Agent to join its team in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. As the face of the hotel, you will help ensure guests have an exceptional experience from check-in to check-out.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests warmly, setting the tone for their stay
• Manage check-in and check-out efficiently and accurately
• Handle guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally
• Inform guests about hotel amenities, services and local attractions in Sharjah
• Coordinate with other departments to meet guest requests and keep them comfortable
• Maintain a neat and organized front desk area
• Process payments and manage guest accounts
• Handle incoming and outgoing calls accurately and courteously
• Know the hotel's fire, life and safety systems and promote facilities, including up-selling

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Guest Service Agent or in a similar role in a luxury hotel preferred
• Fluency in English, written and spoken; fluency in Arabic is an advantage
• Knowledge of local attractions and services in Sharjah and the surrounding areas
• Cultural sensitivity for a diverse international clientele
• Availability for evenings, weekends and holidays

Required skills

• Proficiency in hotel management software (OperaCloud preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication, attention to detail and problem-solving
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once
• Strong organization and prioritization skills
