Gunsmith – Firearms Maintenance & Repair

About the role

As a Gunsmith at EDGE Group, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing and modifying firearms to meet engineering specifications, quality standards and customer requirements. You will collaborate closely with product maintenance and quality teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure safe handling of weapons throughout the maintenance process.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and maintain firearms and related components.
• Disassemble, clean, lubricate, reassemble and conduct functional testing of weapons.
• Modify and fit components according to technical drawings and customer specifications.
• Operate hand tools, workshop machinery, gauges and measuring equipment to complete maintenance tasks.
• Support quality inspections, testing and safe handling of firearms.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, quality standards and company procedures.

Required profile

• Technical or High School Diploma in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Gunsmith or Firearms Maintenance Technician.
• Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with meticulous attention to detail.

• Use of hand tools and power tools.

• Mechanical assembly and disassembly techniques.
