Handyman & Driver – Luxury Desert Resort

About the role

The Handyman & Driver will safely operate company vehicles, bulldozers and tractors while supporting the Maintenance and Garden teams with general handyman tasks at Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa. This full‑time, on‑site position combines driving, equipment operation and basic building and landscaping work to keep the resort running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Operate company cars, transport tools, materials and waste between hotel locations and support other departments.
• Run the bulldozer for earth‑moving, grading, site preparation and landscaping activities.
• Drive the tractor to move soil, plants, garden waste and assist the Garden team.
• Assist the Maintenance team with masonry, painting, minor repairs, carpentry and general upkeep.
• Provide garden support such as planting, pruning, irrigation assistance and waste removal.
• Conduct daily inspections of all vehicles and equipment, report defects and ensure safe operation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, including hotel engineering work.
• Technical, trade or vocational certificate/diploma (or equivalent).
• Valid UAE driving licence for the assigned vehicle.
• Authorization or certification to operate heavy equipment (bulldozer, tractor) where required.
• Physically fit, good communication skills and ability to work outdoors.
