Handyman – Hotel Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Handyman to join our team at Mercure Abu Dhabi Downtown. You will ensure the hotel’s facilities remain safe, functional, and visually appealing for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Fix leaky faucets, repair furniture, and patch drywall.
• Conduct regular checks and preventive maintenance of equipment, fixtures, and building systems.
• Perform plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing fixtures.
• Address minor electrical issues, including replacing light bulbs and switches.
• Carry out painting and touch‑up work to maintain aesthetic standards.
• Execute basic carpentry repairs and replace wooden fixtures as needed.
• Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests.
• Follow all safety guidelines and protocols while working.

Required profile

• Ability to establish rapport with staff and guests.
• Willingness to work a rotating roster in a luxury hotel environment.
• High attention to detail, urgency, and energy.
• Versatile, calm under high‑volume situations, and a strong team player.
• Commitment to continuous development and an all‑rounder with a wide range of trade skills.
