Head Chef – Abu Dhabi

About the role

The Head Chef will lead all kitchen operations for TU Holdings Group’s restaurant portfolio in Abu Dhabi, overseeing menu creation, food preparation, and team performance to ensure high‑quality dishes in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, train and lead kitchen staff to maintain smooth operations.
• Design and update menus based on seasonality, trends and profitability.
• Oversee food preparation and presentation, ensuring consistent quality and taste.
• Manage inventory, track stock levels, order supplies and control food costs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and sanitation regulations.
• Motivate and mentor staff, conducting regular training sessions.
• Collaborate with front‑of‑house teams to deliver an excellent guest experience.
• Assist with budgeting, pricing and maintaining profit margins.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a busy restaurant.
• Culinary degree or equivalent training preferred.
• Strong cooking skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Solid knowledge of kitchen equipment and culinary techniques.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to stay calm and effective under pressure.
• Familiarity with food safety and hygiene regulations.

Required skills

• Basic computer skills for inventory and menu‑planning software.
• Experience in cost control and budgeting.
• Proficiency in operating kitchen equipment.
