Head Chef – Luxury Steakhouse, Dubai

About the role

The Head Chef will lead all culinary operations for the steakhouse at SLS Dubai Hotel and Residences, ensuring exceptional food quality and guest satisfaction. This senior position reports to the Executive Chef and works closely with the front‑of‑house team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen performance, maintaining high standards of taste, presentation, consistency, and portion control.
• Supervise, train, motivate and develop the culinary team, managing staffing, scheduling and daily briefings.
• Plan and organise mise en place, production, service workflow and coordinate with Purchasing to secure quality ingredients.
• Monitor food costs, yields and waste, ensuring profitability and sustainable kitchen practices.
• Maintain HACCP, hygiene and sanitation standards, conducting regular quality checks and corrective actions.
• Support banquet, VIP and special dining events as required.

Required profile

• Culinary degree, diploma or equivalent professional qualification.
• 5–7 years progressive culinary experience, with at least 2–3 years in a senior supervisory or Head Chef role, preferably in luxury hotels or premium steakhouses.
• Strong knowledge of modern steakhouse cuisine, meat preparation, butchery, grilling and roasting techniques.
• Proven ability to manage high‑volume operations while maintaining exceptional quality.
