Head of AI Transformation and Business Operations

About the role

Puffy, a nine-figure D2C brand and top 5 US mattress brand with over $1 billion in sales, is hiring a Head of AI Transformation and Business Operations to lead the integration of AI into how the business operates. The role owns the AI transformation portfolio, its priorities, workflow redesign, delivery capacity within agreed budgets and adoption across functions, and reports directly to the CEO. The position is onsite in Dubai, with relocation assistance and visa support.

Key responsibilities

• Build and own the company-wide AI improvement portfolio across marketing, customer experience, retail, finance, recruiting, operations and delivery, prioritising by value, feasibility, effort and potential for reuse.
• Direct the AI team and specialist resources against one prioritised backlog within agreed budgets, deciding when to configure, buy or commission custom engineering.
• Redesign workflows across functions and establish baselines that measure review, rework, software and maintenance costs.
• Prototype and deploy workflows using AI workspaces, agents, skills, connectors and automation, demonstrating accepted improvements by day 60 and sustained adoption by day 90.
• Build automated monitoring, KPI views, exception routing and recovery workflows, and turn evidence into deployment and investment decisions.

Required profile

• 8+ years in business operations, business systems, product operations or transformation, leading cross-functional change and delivering measurable results.
• AI-enabled workflows personally originated and deployed across at least two business functions, with explained baselines, adoption and results.
• Strong leadership that secures adoption and develops team capability, able to challenge senior stakeholders constructively.
• Good-to-have: e-commerce, D2C or fast-moving operating environment experience.

Required skills

• Strong practical proficiency with LLMs, agents, integrations and automation, able to build and demonstrate a working prototype.
• Commercial judgment on workflow simplification, prioritisation, data quality, evaluation and implementation economics.
• Good-to-have: familiarity with APIs, SQL, task-management systems, BI and automation platforms.

What we offer

• Base salary of up to AED 65,000 per month (tax-free) plus a monthly performance bonus of up to 10% of base.
