Head of Bermuda Distribution

About the role

The Head of Bermuda Distribution reports to the Chief Distribution Officer – International Brokerage, Global High Net Worth. Based in Dubai, this senior leader drives growth, productivity and commercial performance of Manulife’s Bermuda high‑net‑worth life insurance business across key financial hubs worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the Bermuda HNW sales strategy, including targets, pipeline development and distributor productivity.
• Lead, coach and develop a multi‑location distribution team, fostering a high‑performance, client‑focused culture.
• Build and manage strategic relationships with external distributors, brokers, private banks and other intermediaries.
• Identify new distribution opportunities, partnerships and market segments across Bermuda and international brokerage channels.
• Collaborate with Product, Underwriting, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Marketing, Finance and Case Management to remove barriers and enhance the distributor experience.
• Translate market intelligence and client feedback into actionable sales tactics and product positioning.

Required profile

• Proven senior sales leadership experience in life insurance or financial services, preferably serving high‑net‑worth clients.
• Strong track record of achieving sales targets and growing distributor networks across multiple regions.
• Excellent people‑management skills with ability to coach and develop teams in diverse locations.
• Strategic thinker with deep understanding of international brokerage channels.
• Effective communication and relationship‑building abilities with external partners and internal stakeholders.
