Head of Category Management – Equipment Projects

About the role

The Head of Category Management for Equipment Projects will lead high‑value, business‑critical categories across the ADNOC Group, driving end‑to‑end category strategy, sourcing and supplier performance. This senior position reports to the Category Management Manager and works closely with senior leaders across procurement, logistics and ICV functions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multiple strategic equipment categories, overseeing the full category life‑cycle from strategy development through sourcing, implementation and supplier management.
• Develop and execute multibillion‑dollar commercial strategies aligned with ADNOC’s business priorities and ESG initiatives.
• Coordinate with senior procurement functions, planning, inventory, logistics and ICV to ensure integrated value creation.
• Run efficiency workshops with suppliers to identify waste removal, technology adoption and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Guide cross‑functional Category Management teams, mentor personnel and ensure high‑quality deliverables.
• Support tendering, award and contract close‑out processes, ensuring compliance with policies and performance KPIs.

Required profile

• Extensive experience leading complex, strategic procurement categories in a large, multi‑entity organization.
• Proven ability to manage cross‑functional teams of 5‑50 members and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in spend analysis, market intelligence and total cost of ownership assessments.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a track record of delivering measurable value.
