Head of Communications – MENA Region

About the role

TikTok is seeking a Head of Communications for the MENA region to lead external reputation, narrative, and stakeholder engagement across a dynamic and complex market. Based in the UAE, you will shape strategy and execute hands‑on communications in a fast‑moving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the communications and PR strategy for MENA, aligned with global priorities and regional insights.
• Craft TikTok’s MENA narrative, balancing trust & safety with storytelling around economic impact, creators, SMBs, and cultural relevance.
• Integrate policy and communications, working with Government Relations and Public Policy to anticipate regulatory and geopolitical risks.
• Provide senior counsel to leadership on media, cultural, and geopolitical matters.
• Lead issues and crisis response across markets, using external and internal signals to manage coordinated responses.
• Secure and manage high‑impact speaking, media, and stakeholder opportunities, preparing spokespeople accordingly.
• Build and maintain a network of senior journalists, editors, commentators, and policy stakeholders.
• Drive cross‑functional alignment with GR, legal, trust & safety, and global teams.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in communications or public relations within high‑stakes, high‑scrutiny environments.
• Deep understanding of the MENA media, geopolitical and cultural landscape.
• Proven crisis and issues management experience across multiple markets.
• Strong exposure to public policy, government, or regulatory communications.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
• Well‑established network of senior media and KOL stakeholders in the region.
• Ability to set strategy and execute independently with strong judgement.
