Head of Facilities Management

About the role

A recruiter is working with a diversified UAE-based group to appoint a leader to manage and grow its Facilities Management business. The business currently serves an internal portfolio of about 950 units across residential, commercial and education assets in Dubai and Sharjah, and the next stage is growth. The incoming Head of FM takes full responsibility for the FM operation, including P&L ownership, while turning it into a credible external service provider. Security Services also sits within the remit.

Key responsibilities

• Lead integrated hard and soft FM services across the existing portfolio.
• Own FM budgets, revenue, profitability and performance.
• Develop and execute a third-party FM growth strategy and pursue new business across the UAE.
• Lead bids, tenders, pricing and commercial negotiations, and mobilise new contracts.
• Manage SLAs, KPIs, preventative maintenance and asset lifecycle planning.
• Lead FM and Security Services teams.
• Drive stronger systems, reporting, CAFM use and operational controls.
• Maintain regulatory, QHSE and statutory compliance.

Required profile

• 12 to 15 years of Facilities Management experience.
• At least five years in a senior leadership position.
• Strong UAE or GCC market experience.
• Experience managing mixed-use, residential, commercial or institutional assets.
• Proven experience winning or supporting third-party FM contracts.

Required skills

• Integrated hard and soft FM expertise.
• Full P&L and budget responsibility.
• Tendering, pricing and negotiation capability.
• Strong leadership and client relationship skills.
