Head of Finance – Dubai

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Head of Finance to lead the finance function of a fast‑growing, high‑transaction business in Dubai. The role combines strategic oversight with day‑to‑day accounting, ensuring robust financial controls as the company scales.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with long‑term growth objectives.
• Lead the financial planning process, including budgets, forecasts and scenario analysis.
• Identify and remediate deficiencies in existing processes, establishing controls that ensure accuracy and prevent recurrence.
• Own the month‑end close for a multi‑entity structure, targeting a five‑day close cycle.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports on time.
• Translate financial data into unit‑economics dashboards to support executive decision‑making.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, VAT, corporate tax and audit requirements, managing external auditors and regulators.
• Oversee treasury functions, liquidity, receivables, payables and manage financial risk, including currency and interest‑rate exposure.
• Leverage AI tools and financial systems to improve data reconciliation and reporting efficiency.

Required profile

• Minimum six years of finance experience in high‑transaction, high‑volume sectors such as ride‑hailing, mobility, delivery, marketplaces, fintech or e‑commerce.
• Proven ability to perform core accounting tasks and lead month‑end close processes.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience turning financial data into actionable insights.
• Hands‑on leader comfortable building and scaling high‑performing finance teams.
