Head of Finance – Dubai

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Head of Finance to lead the finance function of a fast‑growing, high‑transaction business based in Dubai. You will own financial planning, reporting, compliance and cash management while building a high‑performing finance team as the company scales.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with long‑term growth objectives.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and scenario analysis.
• Own month‑end close for a multi‑entity structure, targeting a five‑day close cycle.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports.
• Translate financial data into unit‑economics dashboards for executive decision‑making.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, VAT, corporate tax and audit requirements.
• Manage liquidity, receivables, payables and treasury operations.
• Maintain direct involvement in data reconciliation using SQL, data warehouses and AI tools.
• Build, mentor and develop the finance team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Senior finance leader with hands‑on accounting experience.
• Background in high‑transaction, high‑volume industries such as ride‑hailing, mobility, delivery, marketplaces, fintech or e‑commerce.
• Proven ability to design and enforce strong financial controls.
• Experience leading multi‑entity month‑end close processes.
• Comfortable working directly with data and applying AI tools to improve efficiency.
