Head of Fraud Prevention & Intelligence (UAE National)

About the role

The Bank is seeking a senior leader to head its Fraud Prevention & Intelligence function. The role will shape strategy, drive detection initiatives and lead high‑impact investigations across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement fraud prevention and detection strategies, including risk assessments, awareness training and analytics.
• Lead large‑scale investigations, people/asset tracing and evidence collection for court proceedings.
• Supervise a specialist team to ensure timely execution of assignments and delivery of professional investigation reports.
• Provide regular updates on fraud trends to the Audit & Compliance Committee and senior management.
• Collaborate with AML, Risk, Legal and Operations functions to integrate anti‑fraud controls.
• Serve as an expert witness and prepare evidence packages for insurers and law‑enforcement agencies.
• Develop and update fraud‑related training materials and establish local fraud forums.

Required profile

• Minimum 20 years of experience, with at least 16 years in fraud risk or internal audit within a large bank.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Auditing, Criminal Justice or related field; CA/CPA qualification.
• Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credential.
• Proven senior‑level leadership (Senior VP/Director) in financial crime prevention.
• Strong strategic thinking, communication and presentation abilities.
