Head of Islamic Studies – Gardens Campus (2026‑2027)

About the role

Raha International School Gardens Campus is seeking an inspired and passionate Head of Islamic Studies for the academic year 2026‑2027. This senior leadership position will guide the Islamic Studies programme, fostering academic excellence and holistic development within a multicultural IB environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, high‑quality Islamic Studies lessons aligned with the curriculum and tailored to a diverse student body.
• Incorporate innovative teaching methods, including technology and real‑world applications, to inspire a love of learning.
• Regularly assess and monitor student progress, using data to refine teaching strategies.
• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.
• Contribute to the school’s vibrant culture through extracurricular activities and events.
• Stay current with educational advancements and participate in professional development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or equivalent teaching qualification (PGCE/PGDE/QTS or similar).
• Minimum of 5 years experience as Head or Deputy Head of Arabic/Islamic studies.
• Fluency in Arabic and English; additional languages are a plus.
• Experience teaching the IB programme is desirable but not essential.
