Head of Legal & Compliance – Dubai

About the role

The Head of Legal & Compliance will lead the legal, regulatory and compliance function for a retail and gaming business operating across the GCC, ensuring full adherence to commercial, corporate, labour, tenancy, consumer protection, data protection and e‑commerce laws.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure comprehensive legal and regulatory compliance across UAE, KSA, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and Kuwait, covering commercial, corporate, labour, tenancy, consumer protection, data protection and e‑commerce regulations.
• Manage licensing, trade‑license renewals, contract drafting and negotiation, IP registration, litigation and insurance portfolios for the group.
• Oversee property and lease administration, coordinate with mall owners, and ensure compliance with civil‑defence, fire safety and municipal regulations.
• Act as the company’s legal representative in disputes, liaise with external counsel and regulatory authorities, and handle government inspections.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Policy or a related field; legal education preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in legal, licensing or regulatory affairs within GCC markets, preferably in retail or distribution.
• Strong knowledge of trade, labour, tenancy, IP and corporate laws across the GCC.
