Head of Medical Tourism

About the role

SEHA, the largest healthcare network in Abu Dhabi, is looking for an experienced Head of Medical Tourism to lead and expand its international patient services program. The role will position SEHA as a preferred destination for medical tourism and specialized healthcare in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive medical tourism strategy to attract international patients and drive growth.
• Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with overseas healthcare providers, insurers, embassies, government entities and medical tourism facilitators.
• Lead the end‑to‑end international patient journey, ensuring exceptional experience and service excellence.
• Collaborate with clinical, operational and marketing teams to promote SEHA’s services in target markets.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and industry developments to strengthen positioning.
• Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi healthcare regulations and international patient service standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Hospital Management, Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
• 5‑8 years of progressive experience in medical tourism, international patient services or healthcare business development.
• Proven track record of building and growing successful medical tourism programs.
• Strong understanding of revenue generation, healthcare marketing strategies and international patient management.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Experience in the Abu Dhabi healthcare sector is highly desirable.
