Head of MOE Curriculum

About the role

The Head of MOE Curriculum is a senior leader responsible for the strategic oversight, implementation and continuous improvement of the UAE Ministry of Education curriculum across the school. Reporting to the Principal, the role ensures teaching, learning and assessment meet MoE, KHDA and school improvement standards while fostering an inclusive, culturally‑responsive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, development and delivery of the MOE curriculum for all year groups, ensuring compliance with UAE MoE requirements and integration of heritage, culture and values.
• Monitor teaching quality and student outcomes, using data to drive interventions and school‑wide improvement strategies.
• Develop curriculum sequencing, assessment frameworks and teaching resources aligned with MoE and KHDA standards.
• Oversee student progress reporting, ensuring timely communication to senior leadership, governors and parents in line with SEF and SIP priorities.
• Support inclusive practice for Students of Determination and ELL learners through differentiation, interventions and pastoral leadership.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with experience delivering and leading the UAE MoE curriculum.
• Minimum 5–7 years teaching experience, including 2–3 years in curriculum leadership or senior leadership.
• Strong knowledge of assessment, differentiation, inclusion and curriculum mapping.
• Proven experience in strategic planning, staff mentoring and curriculum development.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
