Head of Multi-Asset Operational Risk

About the role

Equiti Group is seeking a dynamic Head of Multi-Asset Operational Risk to lead risk management across Cash Equities, Wealth products, and Crypto. Based in Dubai, you will shape and expand the firm’s risk framework, ensuring robust controls as the business grows.

Key responsibilities

• Own and enhance risk frameworks for Cash Equities, Wealth products, and Crypto.
• Design and implement policies, procedures, and controls for new asset classes.
• Lead Risk & Control Self‑Assessments, process mapping, and control testing.
• Identify and manage crypto‑specific operational risks, including custody, wallet management, private‑key controls, and transaction monitoring.
• Support operational risk for cash equities and wealth operations (settlement, reconciliation, corporate actions, client asset segregation).
• Partner with Trading, Product, Compliance, and Technology teams to embed risk in product launches.
• Assess operational risk implications of new products, system changes, vendors, and expansions.
• Own incident management, root‑cause analysis, remediation plans, and lessons learned.
• Produce regular senior‑management risk reports, including stress testing.

Required profile

• Proven experience in operational risk across cash equities, wealth products, and crypto.
• Strong market expertise and practical trading risk knowledge.
• Ability to design scalable risk controls in a fast‑growing, entrepreneurial environment.
• Excellent collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams.
