Head of Operate – Ecommerce Performance Marketing

About the role

Ecomma is a private equity firm that acquires ecommerce brands worldwide and invests in their value creation, operational excellence and sustainable growth. It is looking for a Head of Operate to own the performance of its portfolio brands, focusing on profitable growth and consistent improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Own portfolio performance, with a focus on profitable growth and consistent improvement.
• Review and optimise Meta and Google campaigns across the brands, getting directly involved where needed.
• Lead creative testing and iteration, turning performance insights into clear briefs and new tests.
• Lead the team, set priorities and hold people accountable for execution.
• Build practical systems for campaign reviews, creative testing, reporting and follow-ups.
• Communicate clearly with clients about results, challenges, expectations and the actions being taken.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of hands-on performance marketing experience, ideally 6 or more, across Meta and Google Ads.
• Strong experience growing e-commerce brands and understanding the numbers behind profitability.
• A clear understanding of creative strategy, testing and iteration.
• Experience leading a team and improving execution.
• Strong customer communication skills and confidence handling difficult conversations.
• Someone who takes ownership and leads by example.
• Fluent English, with excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with Google Workspace, Slack and Notion; familiarity with these platforms is critical.
• An eye for detail, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and a passion for high-quality work.
