Head of Partnerships Africa

About the role

Taptap Send, a cross-border fintech for emerging markets founded in 2019, is looking for a Head of Partnerships Africa. The role is based in a hub location (London, Dubai, Paris or New York) with at least 50% of the time spent in Africa. You will shape the future of Africa's financial landscape, build commercial relationships and drive capital into the continent, representing the brand at senior levels and leading some of its most critical regional relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Own the relationship with existing partners in Africa and identify and build relationships with new partners and stakeholders
• Negotiate deals and oversee them from first meeting to go-live
• Work with regulators and policymakers across the region, representing the brand externally
• Track, analyse and report key metrics to understand market developments
• Work with the Growth team to develop and share best practices
• Work cross-functionally with Product, Ops, Business Development and Engineering to ensure the best product offering for the region

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in high-performing, fast-paced environments (tech, professional services, finance, etc.)
• Demonstrable instinct for commercial deal-making
• Experience working with regulators and policymakers in Africa
• Significant personal ties to Africa
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Nice to have: fluency in another language (e.g. French)
• Nice to have: experience in financial services, fintech or payments
