Head of Production

About the role

PULSE, the joint venture between EDGE and INDRA, is looking for a Head of Production to lead the manufacturing of advanced defence systems. You will be responsible for delivering safety, quality, on‑time delivery and cost targets while building a scalable, high‑performance production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end manufacturing execution, driving KPIs, tier routines and escalation governance on the shop floor.
• Define and implement the production ramp‑up strategy, including capacity modelling, takt time, line balancing and staffing.
• Maintain robust standard work, work instructions, traceability and configuration control that are audit‑ready.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives (5S, waste elimination, flow optimisation, bottleneck removal) and link actions to measurable KPI impact.
• Deploy structured problem‑solving (8D, QC Story) and risk‑prevention methods (FMEA, PFMEA) ensuring closed corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Planning & Supply (S&OP) to protect customer commitments and schedule stability.
• Partner with Quality, Engineering and Maintenance to stabilise processes through TPM/PM actions and validation support.
• Represent Production in OEM/customer discussions, audit preparation and reviews.

Required profile

• 12+ years of manufacturing/operations leadership in high‑reliability environments (defence, aerospace, electronics).
• Experience with factory start‑ups and new line launches, preferably in the UAE.
• Proven track record in high‑mix, low‑volume production.
• Familiarity with AS9100 Rev D and structured quality/CI tools.
• Exposure to automotive/aeronautical APQP and DMAIC methodologies is a plus.
