About the role

We are seeking a committed and dynamic Head of Science to lead the Science department at GEMS Cambridge International Private School in Sharjah. This senior teaching role offers the chance to shape curriculum delivery for GCSE and A‑Level students within a world‑class international school environment.

Key responsibilities

• Run a successful Science department, overseeing day‑to‑day operations.
• Implement outstanding teaching and learning practices both in the classroom and across the wider department.
• Ensure delivery of the National Curriculum for England at GCSE and A‑Level.

Required profile

• Certified teaching qualification with exceptional subject knowledge.
• Experience teaching GCSE and A‑Level (or equivalent) science.
• Proven track record of outstanding teaching and learning.
• Significant experience with the National Curriculum for England.
• B.Ed. or relevant bachelor’s degree together with a PGCE/PGDE or equivalent.
• Willingness to commit to extra‑curricular activities.
