Head of Secondary – International School

About the role

A key member of the School Leadership Team, you will provide direction, inspiration and guidance to the Secondary teaching staff. Working with the Deputy Head you will oversee day‑to‑day operations, staff development, performance management and deployment while delivering the UK National Curriculum, IGCSE, A‑Levels, IB and BTEC programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the Secondary teaching team to achieve high performance.
• Manage daily school operations, including staff deployment and performance reviews.
• Develop and implement curriculum across UK National Curriculum, IGCSE, A‑Levels, IB and BTEC.
• Promote innovative teaching practices and set ambitious targets for student achievement.
• Collaborate with Senior Leadership to shape school strategy and culture.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with extensive classroom and senior management experience.
• Strong leadership and people‑management capabilities.
• Ability to work sensitively in a multicultural, fast‑paced international environment.
• University degree in a specialist subject plus a recognized teaching qualification.
• Willingness to meet UAE visa requirements.
