Head of Year (EYFS) – Mamoura British Academy

About the role

Aldar Academies are seeking an outstanding Teacher – EYFS with responsibility for Head of Year for Mamoura British Academy in Abu Dhabi, commencing January 2027. The school follows a British curriculum and aims to provide high‑quality learning opportunities for its students.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Year group, organising team and planning meetings to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum.
• Deliver the Primary English National Curriculum across all subjects, creating engaging lessons and using technology innovatively.
• Oversee pastoral care and well‑being, implementing behaviour management policies and safeguarding procedures.
• Manage and line‑manage teachers and teaching assistants, ensuring performance against UAE Professional Teacher Standards.
• Analyse assessment data, monitor progress using Learning Ladders and provide feedback to parents.

Required profile

• Supportive, approachable team player with strong communication skills.
• Commitment to high standards, positive relationships and the values of the region.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education (or related) with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum three years teaching experience in the English National Curriculum; leadership experience desirable.
