Health & Safety Manager – Abu Dhabi

About the role

Rixos Hotels is looking for a detail‑oriented Health & Safety Manager to lead its safety initiatives in Abu Dhabi. You will develop, implement and maintain comprehensive health and safety programs that protect employees and ensure compliance with UAE regulations and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and oversee health and safety policies, procedures and programs in line with UAE labour laws and ISO standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses, recommending control measures.
• Investigate incidents, accidents and near‑misses, determine root causes and drive corrective actions.
• Maintain safety documentation, records and regulatory reporting.
• Design and deliver safety training, toolbox talks and specialised courses for all staff levels.
• Perform regular safety audits, inspections of facilities, equipment and work practices.
• Collaborate with department heads to embed safety requirements into daily operations and projects.
• Develop emergency response and evacuation procedures, coordinating drills and training.
• Monitor safety performance metrics and prepare management reports.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices, updating policies as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in health and safety management within a corporate or industrial environment.
• In‑depth knowledge of UAE labour laws and occupational health and safety regulations.
• Proven ability to lead risk assessments, hazard identification and incident investigations.
• Strong analytical and leadership skills with a commitment to fostering a safety‑first culture.
