Heart of House Specialist – Steward

About the role

The Heart of House Specialist supports essential hotel operations by maintaining cleanliness across kitchen, food‑and‑beverage, and back‑of‑house areas. You will operate cleaning equipment, handle dishware, and ensure sanitation standards are met in a luxury desert resort environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain dishwashing machines, manual pot washing stations, and other cleaning equipment.
• Clean, disinfect, and sanitize high‑risk kitchen areas, storage rooms, and service stations.
• Monitor and adjust chemical concentrations, water temperature, and sanitizer levels according to food safety standards.
• Report maintenance issues, accidents, and unsafe conditions promptly to supervisors.
• Support colleagues across departments, maintain positive working relationships, and uphold uniform and appearance standards.

Required profile

• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 50 lb and stand or walk for extended periods.
• Commitment to personal hygiene, safety procedures, and compliance with Dubai Municipality food‑safety regulations.
• Willingness to follow company policies, report hazards, and participate in safety training.

Required skills

• Operation of commercial dishwashing machines and manual washing stations.
• Knowledge of food safety programs and Dubai Municipality standards.
• Ability to measure and adjust chemical concentrations and sanitizer levels.
• Basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
