Heavy Duty Driver

About the role

The Heavy Duty Driver will operate DSV’s large transport vehicles to deliver goods safely and on schedule across Abu Dhabi. You will ensure compliance with traffic regulations, maintain vehicle condition, and provide excellent service to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles in accordance with traffic rules to ensure safe transportation and timely delivery.
• Maintain vehicle condition, report any issues immediately to the supervisor and workshop team.
• Prioritize deliveries, suggest improvements to daily route plans, and complete trip sheets at shift end.
• Report damages, excesses or shortages during delivery and submit delivery notes within 24 hours.
• Handle customer complaints courteously and raise non‑conformances when necessary.
• Supervise distribution assistants and report misconduct promptly.
• Comply with HSE requirements and avoid penalties for traffic violations.
• Perform any additional duties or projects assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Matriculation or equivalent education.
• Minimum two years of driving experience in the UAE or another GCC country.
• Valid UAE driving licence for the relevant vehicle category.
• Good knowledge of UAE/GCC road regulations and safety standards.
