Heavy Vehicle Driver – CPT Probing Operations

About the role

The Heavy Vehicle Driver will operate CPT (Cone Penetration Test) equipment and support vehicles to deliver high‑quality geotechnical probing services for NMDC Dredging and Marine clients. The role combines field operations, safety compliance, and team leadership to ensure successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Perform land‑based and near‑shore CPT probing operations and acquire CPT data.
• Maintain and manage CPT plant, support vehicles, tools and parts on site.
• Lead and train crew members on company standards, procedures and CPT techniques.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, HSE regulations and quality standards.
• Communicate any quality or operational concerns to senior personnel promptly.
• Document incidents, accidents and chargeable activities according to company procedures.
• Coordinate with geologists, engineers, consultants and other stakeholders throughout the investigation.
• Use required protective equipment and report any missing or defective items.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to lead field crews and provide technical training.
• Strong understanding of CPT investigative techniques and geotechnical project scopes.
• Commitment to occupational health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Experience documenting field activities, incidents and reporting to senior staff.
