Heavy Vehicle Operator

About the role

The Heavy Vehicle Operator is responsible for loading petroleum products onto heavy‑duty road tankers at ADNOC Distribution terminals and delivering them to customers, filling stations or depots across Abu Dhabi. The role ensures safe operation of the vehicle, compliance with all safety standards, and timely delivery according to dispatch schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Receive the Filling Advise Notice (FAN) from supervisors, drive the tanker to the designated loading bay, and load the product following FAN details and procedures.
• Inspect the vehicle before loading, verify maintenance checks, report any defects, and ensure hoses, couplings, and fuel tanks are ready.
• Secure the product compartment, seal the tanker under supervision, and transport the load to customer sites while maintaining safe speed and adhering to UAE traffic regulations.
• Connect and disconnect hoses at customer or depot sites, confirming the receiving party is present and ready.
• Report accidents or breakdowns to the ADNOC Emergency Response system and follow depot emergency procedures.
• Collect and hand over delivery notes for customer signatures, then return them to dispatch personnel after delivery.

Required profile

• Ability to operate heavy‑duty road tankers safely and follow ADNOC safety standards.
• Capability to conduct pre‑trip vehicle inspections and report any defects.
• Readiness to handle loading and unloading procedures at depots and customer locations.
