Hospital Liaison Officer (Emirati)

About the role

The Hospital Liaison Officer (HLO) acts as the primary bridge between Abu Dhabi healthcare facilities and the Center of Emergency and Disaster Preparedness (CEPAR) / Unified Medical Operations Command (UMOC). The role ensures seamless communication, coordination, and emergency preparedness, including special patient pathways and patient transfers.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate timely communication between hospitals and the Medical Operations Command during daily emergencies, major incidents, and mass‑casualty events.
• Support hospital emergency preparedness, surge‑capacity testing, and the development of readiness plans.
• Provide real‑time hospital capacity data during incidents and assist in disaster response coordination.
• Maintain accurate emergency activity records and produce required incident and preparedness reports.
• Ensure documentation complies with UMOC guidelines and audit requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma or higher in healthcare, administration, or emergency management.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in emergency and disaster management, preferably within a hospital preparedness team.
• Fluent verbal and written Arabic and English.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret data for decision support.
