Hostess – Guest Service Role

About the role

The Hostess greets guests, determines party size, and ensures a smooth seating experience in the dining areas of The Ritz‑Carlton Dubai. You will maintain a welcoming atmosphere, keep work areas tidy, and support the service team throughout the shift.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, confirm party size and escort them to a clean, available table.
• Pull out chairs, place current menus, napkins, silverware and any required items for each guest.
• Arrange tables and seating for groups with special needs, ensuring comfort and accessibility.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas using clean‑as‑you‑go procedures and keep menus wrinkle‑free and plentiful.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service quality, safety and guest well‑being.
• Follow all company, safety and security policies; report accidents or unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a professional uniform and personal appearance at all times.
• Answer telephone calls using proper etiquette and provide clear, courteous communication.
• Develop positive working relationships with colleagues to achieve common goals.
• Stand, sit or walk for extended periods and lift objects up to 10 lb without assistance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience or specific licenses/certifications needed.
