About the role

Grosvenor House Dubai and Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa is hiring a full-time Hostess in Dubai. The hostess greets guests, seats them and keeps the dining rooms tidy and safe, following company and safety policies.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, find out the size of their party and seat them at a clean, available table, pulling out chairs and placing a clean, current menu.
• Guide guests through the dining rooms and help guests with special needs.
• Arrange tables, chairs and settings, and make sure each guest has a napkin, clean silverware and other items of the standard place setting.
• Check that menus are current, clean, plentiful and wrinkle-free.
• Keep work areas clean throughout the day and monitor seating availability, service, safety and guest well-being.
• Follow company and safety/security policies, report accidents and unsafe conditions to the manager, and complete required safety training.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance, keep proprietary information confidential and protect company assets.
• Answer phones with good etiquette, speak clearly and professionally, and build positive working relationships with colleagues.
• Stand, sit or walk for long periods and lift objects up to 10 pounds without assistance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No related work experience or supervisory experience required.
• No license or certification required.
