Hostess

About the role

The Luxury Collection is hiring a full-time, non-management hostess in Dubai (Al Emreef Street). The role greets guests, seats them and keeps the dining rooms tidy and safe, and is open to candidates with no prior related or supervisory experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, count their party and seat them at a clean, available table with chairs pulled out and a clean, current menu placed in front of them.
• Guide guests through the dining rooms and give any needed assistance.
• Move and arrange tables, chairs and settings, and organise seating for groups with special needs.
• Ensure place settings are correct and that every guest has a napkin, clean silverware and other standard items.
• Check menus so they are current, clean, plentiful and wrinkle-free.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, following clean-as-you-go procedures.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety and guest well-being.
• Follow company safety and security policies, report accidents and injuries to the manager, complete safety training and certifications, and keep a professional appearance and confidentiality.
• Welcome guests according to company standards, speak clearly and professionally, answer phones with good etiquette and build positive working relationships with colleagues.
• Stand, sit or walk for long periods and lift, move and place objects up to 10 pounds without assistance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• No related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No license or certification required.
