Host/Hostess – Latin American Restaurant

About the role

The Host/Hostess greets guests, manages seating, and ensures a welcoming atmosphere in the Latin American Restaurant. This role involves maintaining clean work areas, assisting guests throughout their dining experience, and upholding safety and service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, determine party size, and seat them at clean, available tables.
• Pull out chairs, place current menus, and ensure each setting includes a napkin, clean silverware, and any required items.
• Guide guests through the dining area, providing assistance as needed.
• Arrange tables and chairs for groups with special needs and monitor seating availability.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas using clean‑as‑you‑go procedures.
• Check menus for cleanliness, currency, and condition.
• Observe dining rooms for safety, service quality, and guest well‑being.
• Follow company safety policies, report incidents, and complete required training.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work or supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and lift objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
• Professional appearance, clear communication skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
