Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor

About the role

The Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor supports the Director of Housekeeping in delivering the strategic goals of the Housekeeping department at The St. Regis Abu Dhabi. This role ensures that guest rooms, public areas and F&B outlets meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional advisory support to the Director of Housekeeping.
• Supervise day‑to‑day housekeeping operations, including inspections of guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces.
• Coach, train and mentor housekeeping staff, correcting standards and improving performance.
• Ensure compliance with hotel and housekeeping policies and procedures.
• Attend and contribute to housekeeping communication meetings.
• Investigate guest complaints, implement corrective actions and follow up.
• Recommend rooms for out‑of‑order status and coordinate repairs with Engineering, Front Office and butlers.
• Monitor usage of supplies, cleaning chemicals, machines and equipment.
• Oversee contractor activities, inventory scheduling and store supplies.

Required profile

• Experience supervising housekeeping operations in a luxury hotel environment.
• Strong ability to coach and develop team members.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards.
• Good communication skills for meetings and guest complaint handling.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple departments (Engineering, Front Office, F&B).
