Hotel Electrician – Maintenance & Guest Services

About the role

Le Meridien in Fujairah is looking for a skilled Electrician to join its engineering team. The role involves responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all electrical and related systems operate safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests, communicate solutions, and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, mechanical‑room assets and conduct visual inspections.
• Identify, locate and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building utilities.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts and supplies, and document daily activities for shift hand‑over.
• Test, troubleshoot and repair electrical components, lighting, outlets, HVAC filters, plumbing fixtures and landscaping sprinklers.
• Execute basic surface preparation, painting, drywall and wood‑trim repairs, and ensure thorough clean‑up after work.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures, safety policies and company security standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation and painting; hotel engineering experience is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license.

Required skills

• Electrical troubleshooting and repair.
• Air‑conditioning and refrigeration maintenance.
• Plumbing repair (toilet plunging, drain unclogging).
• Preventive maintenance of kitchen and mechanical equipment.
• Lockout/Tagout safety procedures.
• Basic carpentry, painting and drywall repair.
• Landscaping sprinkler system repair.
• Computer‑based scheduling for HVAC systems.
