Hotel Plant Operator – Ras Al Khaimah

About the role

The Plant Operator ensures the smooth operation and maintenance of all hotel plant facilities at the Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah. You will be responsible for keeping HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and swimming‑pool systems running efficiently while supporting the hotel’s energy‑saving goals.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee operation, maintenance, and repair of plant rooms, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and swimming‑pool equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections of plant rooms and pool systems to identify and resolve issues promptly.
• Handle, store, and apply chemicals for pool maintenance in line with safety and regulatory standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance on boilers, chillers, pumps, filtration systems, and other equipment.
• Monitor swimming‑pool water quality (pH, chlorine, etc.) to meet health and safety requirements.
• Respond quickly to maintenance calls for plant rooms, pool systems, or other hotel facilities.
• Maintain accurate records of work orders, chemical usage, inventory, and maintenance activities.
• Track and manage energy consumption, recommending initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Follow all safety protocols, especially those related to chemical handling.
• Source and procure parts, chemicals, and supplies needed for plant and pool upkeep.
