Housekeeping Assistant Manager

About the role

We are seeking a professional and organized Housekeeping Assistant Manager to join our team at Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort in Ras Al Khaimah. In this supervisory role you will oversee daily housekeeping operations, manage staff performance and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate housekeeping staff to maintain established cleanliness and quality standards across guest rooms, public areas and facilities.
• Schedule staff shifts and allocate workforce to optimise operational efficiency.
• Conduct regular inspections to verify compliance with housekeeping protocols.
• Train, mentor and evaluate team members on cleaning procedures, safety standards and customer service.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock and cost‑effective procurement.
• Address guest complaints related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
• Prepare performance reports, occupancy data and maintenance issues for management review.

Required profile

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in housekeeping operations or facility management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Proven expertise in housekeeping standards, cleaning protocols and sanitation procedures.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
• Knowledge of inventory management, staff scheduling and basic computer applications.
• Familiarity with health, safety and hygiene regulations.
• Experience in the hospitality industry or hotel management preferred.
