Housekeeping Coordinator

About the role

The Housekeeping Coordinator supports the daily operations of the housekeeping department at a luxury hotel. The role ensures rooms are prepared on time, coordinates with multiple hotel departments, and maintains accurate room status records.

Key responsibilities

• Run sold‑room reports, verify room status and identify discrepancies.
• Prioritise cleaning of vacant dirty rooms and assign rush or Do‑Not‑Disturb rooms.
• Prepare and distribute daily room assignments to housekeeping staff.
• Act as liaison between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office and Laundry to resolve room issues.
• Document and follow up on discrepant rooms with the Front Desk.
• Maintain and update the list of Do‑Not‑Disturb rooms.
• Complete required housekeeping paperwork and adhere to safety policies.
• Provide courteous guest interactions in line with hotel standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 1‑2 years experience in housekeeping, administration or a related hotel function.
• Knowledge of hotel property‑management (OPERA) and point‑of‑sale (MICROS) systems.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
