Housekeeping Room Attendant

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Housekeeping Room Attendant to join our hotel team in Dubai. The successful candidate will ensure guest rooms and public areas are cleaned to the highest standards, contributing to a pleasant stay for our guests. This full-time position involves working flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors and assigned areas according to hotel standards.
• Make beds, change linen, replace towels and replenish guest amenities.
• Dust, vacuum, mop and sanitize all required surfaces and areas.
• Inspect rooms for cleanliness, maintenance issues and report any defects or lost-and-found items.
• Handle cleaning equipment and supplies correctly, store them properly and follow chemical-handling guidelines.
• Respect guest privacy, observe Do Not Disturb signs and respond politely to guest requests.
• Maintain cleanliness of housekeeping trolleys, storage areas and workspaces.
• Coordinate with the Housekeeping Supervisor and other departments as needed.
• Complete assigned rooms within the required time while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Handle guest belongings and hotel property with care and integrity.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Room Attendant or in hotel housekeeping is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational abilities.
• Physically fit and able to stand, bend, lift and move for extended periods.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; basic English proficiency.
• Professional, reliable, punctual and guest-focused attitude.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Knowledge of basic cleaning procedures and housekeeping standards.
• Ability to use cleaning equipment safely and follow health-and-safety procedures.
• Understanding of chemical-handling and hygiene guidelines.
