HR Coordinator (Temporary) – Abu Dhabi

About the role

GEMS World Academy in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Temporary HR Coordinator to join its team from January 2026. The role supports the school’s HR Manager in delivering efficient HR services that align with GEMS Education policies and UAE labour law. You will work closely with school leadership, staff and external partners to ensure smooth recruitment, onboarding and employee administration.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the HR Manager in day‑to‑day HR operations, ensuring compliance with internal policies and UAE legislation.
• Coordinate recruitment activities, prepare documentation and manage onboarding, including visa and insurance arrangements.
• Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS platforms (D365 and Phoenix) and ensure data security.
• Administer employee benefits such as medical insurance and liaise with external providers to resolve queries.
• Prepare official letters and documents (NOCs, salary certificates, transfer letters) as required.
• Track staff leave and attendance for payroll processing.
• Support staff engagement initiatives, induction programmes and respond to employee queries with professionalism.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 month of relevant HR experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Experience with HRIS platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft D365.
• Proficiency in Phoenix HR system.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
