HR Manager – Sharjah

About the role

We are looking for an HR Manager to lead people strategy and HR initiatives for voco Sharjah, ensuring alignment with IHG standards and UAE labour law while delivering memorable guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the hotel’s people strategy, HR initiatives and ensure compliance with IHG standards and local legislation.
• Manage payroll, compensation, benefits and maintain internal equity.
• Monitor HR metrics such as turnover, absenteeism and exit interview trends to drive improvement.
• Prepare and present monthly HR reports and insights for business decisions.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management and employee lifecycle activities.
• Develop and coach the HR team to provide excellent internal service.
• Drive colleague engagement, recognition, wellbeing programmes and manage annual engagement surveys.
• Maintain HR records, employee files and HR systems in compliance with policies and data privacy.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of HR management experience in the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of UAE labour law, HR practices, payroll and employee relations.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset with a passion for people development.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with HR information systems.
